Blog Moved to FaisalAbid.com
Ive been thinking for a long time to make my blog into a twitter style blog, but the word limit always made me rethink that idea. However I came across this style of blogging, where I can post small update messages or big long articles and they all flow together. The old blog g-unix.com/blog will still live in my memories and ours and on the hostmysite (hosting.com) server forever. This blog will also in the coming weeks play a big role for AndSpot as it will be the place to find the latest and greatest articles, tutorials, and developer how-to for the AndSpot Platform.

What have I been up too?
I barely update this blog anymore, just really busy with a lot of things. Im currently involved in 3 start-ups, 2 of which I am the founder of, and were doing some really great things. AndSpot, one of my startups is all set to go and were in a private beta right now and it looks really slick. I presented on Andspot, ColdFusion and Android at Riadventure a couple of months ago and it was a hit with the attendees. You can check my presentations out as well as the other attendees at http://www.screencast.com/users/jwilker/folders/RIAdventure+2009 . There is also an Android book which im working on and its currently pending because of the immense amount of work with Andspot and other stuff. However that will soon be ready too. Also i would like to personally thank Joshua of http://www.usefulconcept.com/ , Tom Ortega and John Wiliker from 360Flex , Ryan Stewart (come on who doesn't know this guy) , Greg Birch from adobe whos working on the slider platform, and all the other super cool people like Steven, Amy Blankenship, her super cool husband Steve , and all the other people that were with the AndSpot Team at Riadventure. You guys rock!

CF9 ORM EHcache Funkyness
I was messing around wtih Ehcache.xml and set diskpresistent=true, after that my ORMEvictEntity stopped to work and it drove me nuts trying to figure out what was going on, till I realized that it was the diskpresitent=true that was causing it, when i took it out, everything came back to life!
