Tamarin-Tracing , Flash Player and Googles' Roboto, Mr.Android
Im getting the Android in a couple of days and the first thing that comes to mind is whether the Flash Player will be supported any time soon. Ive googled around a bit and read some stuff about how adobe has to develop a Java based flash player? Im not too sure about this, I just googled for a few minutes, but I did remember of a little thing Adobe gave Mozilla called Tamarin and I started to look into it. Tamarin for those who don't know is the open source AVM ( the thing that converts actionscript in bytecode for the flash player), and there is also another branch to Tamarin called Tamarin-Tracing which is (if im not wrong) for non-pc devices such as cellphones and game systems. All these things point to Flash player on android a reality, however there is the case of Google allowing the Flash Player on the platform, I mean its open source so they cant technically "not allow" anyone from developing something for the android but will google be happy with a prfopiertry technology on their platform? Makes me wish the Flash Player was open source, if it was then on Day 1 of the Android Launch I could guarantee that the Flash Player would be on the platform running. I was initially a couple of years back not in favor for making the Flash Player open source but now I see the importance of open source. I mean its not like adobe is making any money off the flash player directly so whats the problem with making it open source. Were not saying make Photoshop or Flash IDE open source, were not even saying make Flex builder open source. These are the places where Adobe's Income comes from, so whats the problem with making something that your not making money off of (ie. Its free to download and use the flash player) not open source?. Adobe, listen to your users. Make Flash Player open source and the world will love you even more.

Since when do people care about what browser their swf runs in?
Check this out . Weird? Any reason why it runs better if at all it does, which i doubt it does.
